Right To Rule
[ЯтR] Right To Rule is based upon respect, having fun, and associating with other players with common interests.
Our servers, website, and other services, exist to ensure your receiving the maximum gaming experience possible.
Everyone in the [ЯтR] community is treated respectfully and fairly and thus the feeling should be returned.
As a guest or a member of the [ЯтR] Community, you are expected to uphold and maintain the rules and guidelines.
It is important to keep in mind that being a guest or a member of [ЯтR] is a privilege, not a right.
1.0- GENERAL RULES
General Rules are the basic rules and guidelines we require just to be a part of the community. They are enforced to maintain a level of respect and efficiency to ensure a great server experience for everyone. [ЯтR] enforces these rules with vigilance and zero tolerance for many offenses. These rules are enforced for mature reasons. No rule from [ЯтR] is unfair, biased, or temperamental. Any person (member or guest) on our servers caught breaking these rules will be dealt with immediately, or reported immediately to any [ЯтR] member or administrator.
1.1- CODE OF CONDUCT
[ЯтR] enforces Code of Conduct with a serious manner which is part of the foundation our community was built on. Without this, chaos and disrespect would be abundant within the servers we control. These Codes of Conducts will be enforced entirely and with zero tolerance in effect. No exceptions, no excuses.
· 1.1.1- RACIAL COMMENTS
Racial comments are not tolerated by [ЯтR] whatsoever. This includes any said over the microphone, in text, or in your username. Our definition of a racial rule infraction is anything that can be perceived offensive to another person in the form of a slur or a modification of one that has an underlying racial background. If you are caught violating this rule, you will receive one warning to cease text/verbally racial slurring or to change your name. Refusal to do so will result in immediate action and possible permanent banning.
· 1.1.2- RELIGIOUS COMMENTS
Religious comments shall be refrained from use within the server. This includes religious insults, differences, forms, or types. Because [ЯтR] is a world-wide community, this involves many members and players that are from different religious backgrounds (as well as non-religious). Thus, we request you respect everyone for their choices and not to insult anyone with a different world view.
· 1.1.3- POLITICAL COMMENTS
Politics are involved in our every day lives, which can start a heated debate with anyone and an opposing point of view. That is why here at [ЯтR], we do not allow any political influences, comments, or ideals to be involved within the servers. This is because most of these players like to escape the political world we live in today and would like to focus on the gametime rather then reality. As well as, because of the amount of people that are involved in our community, the variety of political background is extensive. Therefore to reduce discrimination, we do not allow any political comments that can be perceived offensive, rude, or violent.
· 1.1.4- DISRESPECTFUL COMMENTS
[ЯтR] does not condone any comments that can be suggested to be disrespectful towards another player. People come to [ЯтR] for a fun time learning the games and playing them, not to be called names, religiously, politically, or racially degrading. Anything [ЯтR] perceives to be disrespectful towards another player will be dealt with immediately. This can include termination from all access to [ЯтR] and its services.
· 1.1.5- OTHER CONDUCT
Any conduct that [ЯтR] that can be deemed inappropriate, disrespectful, discriminatory, or even immature can result in a punishment leading up to and/or including termination from [ЯтR] and its services. Remember, do unto others as you would have done to you.
1.2- NO DISRESPECT TOWARDS [ЯтR]
Our [ЯтR] members are hand-selected for maturity and respect. A privilege that should also be given to you in return. If any [ЯтR] member requests you to do something, please do so in a humble manner. [ЯтR] members will not request you to do something unreasonable. If you believe that you were requested to do something unreasonable, still do it, but please file a support ticket. Do not lash out in an immature manner otherwise this will not help you out in your case.
1.3- TEAMKILLING/WOUNDING
Another rule that [ЯтR] strongly enforces is the offence of Team Killing/Wounding. Accidents do happen when a dead-nade has fallen, an accident run in at a dark hallway, or just plain dumb luck. [ЯтR] wishes that you apologize if you have done so and forgive if it was done to you. What [ЯтR] does not tolerate is the intentional actions killing and wounding because it shows a lack of respect for other players as well as an unsatisfied player in our server. [ЯтR] has provided an automated service to help keep this occurrence under control without constant administrator involvement. The automated service keeps a record of how many team wounds and team kills you have acquired and acts accordingly.
· 10 team wounds = 1 team kill; 5 team kills = temporary ban. Karma points, reduce team woundings this is achieved by kills and capturing flags.
The temporary ban is usually about 5 minutes long. It can be extended if team attacks continue to occur. Be aware, these are all unforgiven team kills which lead to a ban. This is all kept in a log and if we find that you are a habitual team killer/wounder, you can and will be banned permanently.
On another note, there will be no punishing [ЯтR] members for team kills. Our members will never intentionally kill you. We treat everyone with respect, therefore we expect the same from you and other guests in our servers.
1.4- JOINING/RECRUITING
[ЯтR] is an extensive community that stretches its outreach in many areas of gaming. Our family is extremely large and always has room to improve and grow with every member we select to be apart of [ЯтR]. [ЯтR] is an invite only organization. A player who wishes to join should place an [R] tag at the end of your user name, as well as submit an application, and register in the forums at our website www.righttorule.com. If you play often, are respectful, skillful, and favored, you will soon be invited when we believe you are ready. Do not constantly ask about your application status. Although we know you are eager to join, we did get your application.
Recruiting is the only way a organization can grow. [ЯтR] does all recruiting and soliciting within our own servers. [ЯтR] does not go to other servers to recruit or solicit players for membership. As such, we request that if you are apart of a organization already, that you do not recruit or solicit any of our members or guests in our server to join your group. We find that disrespectful and will take appropriate actions.
Amendment 1.4 (a): Upon recruition, if [ЯтR] deems your username inappropriate or immature, we WILL request that you change your username and resubmit your application. Refusal to do so will result in your application to be dropped permanently and can also include permanent banning from [ЯтR] servers and its services.
1.5- BLOCKING
Blocking seems to be the most annoying instance that can occur on any game we play. It hinders our progression to an area of a map and most often can lead to our demise. If a player is blocking a well traveled path, please ask the individual nicely to move for you to go by. DO NOT SHOOT THEM, this adds a team kill to your list as well as can instigate a larger issue to follow where everyone would not be happy. If they continue to still block, let an administrator know and the player will be kicked. If admins are not available, type PROBLEM and get his STEAM_ID by typing "status" (w/o quotations) in console (~). That player will be dealt with accordingly.
Amendment 1.5 (a): STEAM has issued the new revised plug-in that prevents "blocking" other players in doorways, windows, etc. If the game being played does not have this plug-in, please still abide by section 1.5 of the handbook.
1.6- HACKING
Unfortunately, there are individuals out there, floating from server to server, who believe that they have to have computer assistance to play these community based games. [ЯтR] members, as well as other gamers, take great offense to this (plus it's annoying). This section will help you attempt to identify different types of hacks, and how to react to them. The following listed are two of the most common hacks known to the gaming world. There would be numerous pages to list the types and mode of hacks used in games, so we are not able to list all of them.
· 1.6.1- TYPES OF HACKS
AIMBOT: Is a hack that assists in your aiming towards other players. Instead of improving your skill and accuracy by hard work and understanding your weaponry, this program automatically aims your weapon to the head of your enemy and kills them usually in a one-shot-kill. A way to identify this hack is to keep track of that players kills. Usually they will have an unusual amount of accuracy with a normally inaccurate weapon (I.E. Thompson with singleshot headshots is uncommon). Another way to check is to spectate them and watch them in a first person view. If they are hacking, a usual sign is extreme shaking of the screen that you view. Although it is shaky to you, it is clear to that hacker. We can go into a scientific explanation as to why it does so but we won't. One other way you can determine an AIMBOT or other hack, is the EXTREME difference in the kill per death ratio (k%/d%). For example if the player has 125 kills / 5 deaths.
WALLHACK: is a hack that allows the player to see enemy and friendly positions through walls. This can foil any attempts of a surprise attack as well as just random fun. You cannot view what the player can view. Usually they can see through walls like superman or they have indicators that move around in direct sight. One way to try to identify a wall hacker is by observing their point of view (in first person). Usually they show high signs of staring at blank walls constantly or following floorplans visually as if someone was walking up stairs (TRACKING).
· 1.6.2- REACTION TO HACKS
Because [ЯтR] takes hacking seriously, we request that you leave all punishment or accusations to [ЯтR] members and administrators. But you can still help us. Please, don’t openly accuse players of cheating or hacking. If you feel that someone is cheating, use admin chat by typing "@" in text field (w/o quotes), to inform any admins on-duty. If no administrators are available, to help us, please fill out a support ticket on our website and include a demo-video of the said accused and any other proof you can provide. If you do not know how to record a demo, please visit our FAQ section at righttorule.com or ask someone who is experienced. Our FAQ section has detailed instructions to assist you in other console (~) commands as well.
1.7- USERNAMES
As we have mentioned before under section 1.1, we do not accept any racial defamation in anyone's game username whatsoever. Another requirement we have is that you have a username at all. [ЯтR] does not allow any "BLANK" names to be used in our server. For multitude of reasons. Although the default name of "UNNAMED" is acceptable, we do request that you pick a name for yourself. This creates an identity with yourself as well as within the gaming community of [ЯтR]. Any "blank" names will be requested by an [ЯтR] member to change your name to anything at all (Use your imagination). Failure to do so will result in a kick from our server. Any argument with any [ЯтR] member will be considered disrespectful and could lead to a ban. Also noted that any non-member who is found to possess an [ЯтR] tag in their name will be permanently banned for impersonation. Having the [ЯтR] tag is an earned and respected right. We take great offense to this infraction. This is non-negotiable.
1.8- MAP EXPLOITS
As a community of gamers, we all know that no game is infallible. Glitches occur, graphic errors happen, and we all find a nook or cranny that we can go that no one else can find yet or easily get to. We all know these as Map Exploits. Some map exploits are allowed and some not. We will try to state and describe what is /isn't allowed as best as we can. If you know of one and it is not listed, please check with an [ЯтR] Administrator for advice.
Amendment 1.8.1 (a): Steam has issued an update that prohibits barrier hopping in our primary map DOD_AVALANCE. I.E> the "barrier room" (collapsed roof with bed frame protruding)
· 1.8.1- DOD:S- AVALANCHE EXPLOITS
DOD:Source (Day of Defeat Source). Allowed Exploits: Barrier hopping (both axis and allies sides), moving the piano (as long as not habitual or overdone). Not Allowed Exploits: Church Exploit, hidden wallshot exploits, any boosting beyond normal map parameters.
· 1.8.2- TEAM FORTRESS 2 EXPLOITS
TF2 (Team Fortress 2). Allowed Exploits: *Pending Review*. Not Allowed Exploits: Shooting through grates, shooting grenades over skybox buildings, any boosting beyond normal map parameters.
· 1.8.3- GENERIC/OTHER EXPLOITS
Because the [ЯтR] Community is invested into so many games and programs, it is nearly impossible to list all potential or theoretical exploits that are / aren't allowed. Common sense would state that if nobody else is doing it, chances are it isn't acceptable. Again, if you are not sure, please ask an [ЯтR] Administrator. Failure to comply with these orders can and/or will result in punishment. If an [ЯтR] member requests you to cease exploit activities, please do so.
1.9- SUPPORT TICKETS
If you have been punished, banned, permanently banned, have any questions, issues, comments, or more, PLEASE fill out a support ticket located at: support.righttorule.com . or visit the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page to help answer most if not all of your issues. [ЯтR] WILL NOT resolve any infractions without the submittal of a support ticket. Reason being it eliminates confusion, keeps a paper trail, and alleviates the traffic we constantly receive.
